Re: Alrighty then

The regulator/rectifier is mounted behind the left hand side cover (as
you are seated on bike) its the metal box with the fins that is held
on with two Allan key bolts (5mm).

Just been in garage pulling bike apart to check! noticed that it looks
as if my reg's been getting hot, the paint behind it's blistering a
bit. Pulled it off, looks Ok from behind.. I guess I'll be testing it
tomorrow!
When I first got the bike I checked the charging system and it was ok.

You will need a multimeter to test the charging system.
With battery charged, rule of thumb is 13.8 to 14.4 volts at battery
when motor running, no light on. put lights on high and voltage should
still be within this. If voltage is less than 13.8 or greater than 15
volts, you've got problems.

My manual and the colours seem to be 3x yellow wires, a red, and a
black with white trace, too dark out now to confirm, but I'll post if
different.

cheers,
Ben.

Ok, so I pulled the rectifier and cleaned all the wiring. I then charged the battery and started her up. Got a reading of 13.8 and stayed there. Now all I...
