After a series of flat batteries and some basic trouble-shooting of
the electrical system it appears that the VR on my biike is buggered.
I can't get a voltage reading at the battery that is any higher than
what i can put in there with a mains battery charger. And the back of
the VR shows that it has recently got VERY hot (a burnt bit and some
of the goo has crumbled and fallen out). Does anyone have any ideas
about (1) where i might find an original part replacement (wrecked
bike or genuine part) (2) how else i might sort this problem (is
there a VR from another application that can be used?).
