Hi Carl
That is a good point. I will try this. I have had a lot of troubles following
the manual as it is unclear. Tommorow is a public holiday so I will get into the
garage and do my best.
I don't have the frame any more but I do have the spedo cluster and a fuel tanks
and the rear shocker. I think that is it.
I still have not done the float levels, as each time I tried I was uncertain
what eacactly to measure.
Thanks for the advice.
I will send you a couple of pics this week.

Hi Malcom,
Did you ever get this sorted?
I decided to do a valve clearance check on mine and found that every valve
was out of spec, one I couldn't even measure a clearance. So I fixed the
clearances, and 'lo and behold, the goes heaps better - "Like a bought
one!". Before it would struggle to start, though be "OK" once warm,
wouldn't like revving past 5500RPM, to which it sounded like it was
backfiring..
I suggest you do this to your motor if you're still having issues with it
revving out.
Also, do you still have the body of the GS250FW sitting around? Or did
you just buy the motor?
Cheers,
Carl
