Hi Guy's. Just thought I would post and let you know that my Decals
have finally come through from Queensland! They turned out great and I
have posted a pic in the members photo's. If anyone is interested and
are going to respray their bike these decals are laser cut, really good
quality and inexpensive. They can also be clear coated. They come in a
pack of 6 and in almost any colour (I got mine in chrome). Gwen, the
lady that made these was extremely helpful and said any members who
would like to order some should get in touch with her at
bronmoto@... and she would be happy to help! They cost me
$36.99Au, excluding postage. The postage was $1.50 to Melb. She will do
international postage for those members who live outside Australia but
email her for the cost.

Hey people. Is there any one out there looking for decals for their
GS250FW? After getting my bike ready for a respray I began searching
for decals and found that they are a bit hard to come by or really
expensive. I have been able to source some here in Australia! I ordered
2 for my tank and although they are not originals they look fantastic
and only cost me $8.49 including postage. They make these in any colour
you need! I got back in touch with the company to see about decals for
the side covers and bikini fairing. I had to send them a pic of it and
they are going to try and reproduce them. They said that they can't
make them exactly the same but that they could get close. The actual
pinstripng they can't do because they don't have a bike there to get
the correct dimensions off, but these are a cinch to do yourself. When
I get my side cover decals I'll post again and if your interested in
getting some, let me know!

Hey Ben, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I live in Woori Yallock which
is in the Yarra Valley, so Peter Stevens in Ringwood is close to me. I
appreciate the info. I will give them a call. Regards,
Mark Cowling

   I use Peter Stevens. www.peterstevens.com.au

The "locations" tab on their web site has all contact details etc

I would call them, don't know if they respond quick to emails, never
   tried.

The dealer I went through is in Ringwood. Although I can't see it
making much difference who you use.

Where abouts are you? I might be able to help further if you are local.

Mick Hone mototcycles is supposed to be good too, although I've never
had to use them, and when I've gotten quotes they have been a bit more
   expensive. their site is: http://www.mickhone.com.au/

I've also bought second hand stuff out of a bike shop in Elizabeth st
in Melbourne. I think its called "Motabits" Thir prices I feel are a
bit high, don't be afraid to go in and offer what you think it's worth!.

Again I've never had a hassle getting anything yet, sometimes a few
days wait, but no more than three.

If anyone needs Honda parts, I've got an excelent Honda dealer I use also.

   Hope This helps,
   Ben.

ok, 6L/100km is the standard figure, i don't know about that flat spot tho,
are you running a twin exhaust or a 4into 2into 1 system? I never noticed
the flatspot in mine with the 4-2-1. but it was a little weak pre 8,000rpm
but after that it haulled to 11,500. This were suzuki sales not grey
imports, although some may be.

It feels like it might benifit from carbies being adjusted?

as for fuel consumption, I'll have to fix odometer first :(

I think that's about right...I used to have a gf250s, its successor, and while
it wasn't as bad, everything basically happens best if you keep it above 8000.
They were an official import but most parts will need to be got from Japan, due
to age...
Enjoy!!!

Hey all.
I've just got my bike license and bought a '84 gs250fw. Are they
supposed to be gutless between 5500-8000rpm?? If the revs go below this
(at highway speeds mainly), it is a bitch to catch, requiring much
downshifting and throttle. It goes well above 8000rpm, though. I
assume it is just the nature of the engine (I hope!). Where these bike
brought into Australia by Suzuki, or grey imports?? Also, I've
averaged 6lt's per 100km's fuel-wise so far, is that about right?? Any
info would be excellent.
Thanks.

Hi.

So you are going to put the GS450 engine in the GF250? Sounds interesting,
please keep us updated on your project.

I think you folks may have the market for 250 4s. We don't even have a dealer
here and the others don't stock. If you will post the contact info I will use
your source. Thanks.

If you can't get them localy yourself I'm sure that the dealer here
would send them to you. Let me know if you have problems and I'll
post the contact details.

Just found neat old GS250FW sitting in the corner of a warehouse out
of site, but looking pretty good for an olde. Needed a bike project.
Took a couple of days cleaning the carbs, put in a battery, and she
fired up and took off-runs really sweet for a little guy. Good
brakes, gear box and not whacked that I can feel. looking for front
fork seals and a rear shock. Not really familar with this model, or
Susies so don't know what is inter-changeable with other earlier
models. No one down here knows much either. She's small, quick, and

They are compressed. You need something like www.pkzip.com to decompress
them. Then you will have each page in jpg format.
