I will be playing all six of Bach's organ trio sonatas in
a series of the regular Wednesday (1.15 pm) lunchtime
recitals at St James', King Street.
The first recital, featuring sonatas # 1 & #2, will be next
Wednesday, August 2nd.
The trio sonatas are amongst the most listener-friendly of
Bach's organ works, perhaps because the human ear/brain can
follow three strands of counterpoint without too much
difficulty.
Playing this music is always a joy, even in an empty church. If
an audience turns up, that will be even nicer!
