Hi everyone,
Today was a most spectacular day for shooting. The weather was pretty
much perfect. Again Dan and I went to Homebush and again it was
windless! Amazing seeing as the place has a reputation for its wind.
It was a big turnout, with more recurvers than compounders for a
change.

Scores:
Dan Bray - Men's Recurve Barebow (Women's FITA):
70m = 205
60m = 223
50m = 210
30m = 285
Total = 923

Alex Norman - Men's Recurve (Men's FITA):
90m = 157
70m = 225
50m = 241
30m = 317 (pb - with a miss on the last arrow!)
Total = 940

A great day. Scores were lowish all round. Hopefully we will see more
USyd archers there in the future. (can't wait to get my carbon
arrows!:-)

Regards
Alex

Hi All,

Time has come to order some chocolates for sale to raise club funds.

Two points.
1) When
2) How.

When. We could order them now, but with exams it may be unlikely
people will buy, or more likely to buy so they can snack during
studies. And they can be sold during the holidays.

How. We are going to run with a system of outlay. The club will
purchase the choclates at their cost price. The selling person will
pay the club for a box at the profit cost, and proceed to recover
their money by selling. This system has two advantages, that the
club will not have to run the risk of people not returning correct
monies after sold chocolates, and the club will gain the profit
immediately available for use. The disadvantage is the selling
person will have to pay a large sum (eg $40/box) upfront to begin
selling. Any unsold chocolates will be then available for the
selling person to eat themselves, and help with raising funds for the
club.

The minimum order for fundraising boxes are 12 boxes at $20/box.
After selling them at $40/box, the club will have $240 profit. The
more boxes we can sell the better.

If you are one of the people who really want to help us by selling
choclates around uni, or other places, then please either email me
back with your name and contact details, or talk to me during archery
sessions.

Thanks

Hi All,

In a apparent deliberate ommission of a name from my last newsletter
in regards to those I suggested to compete, my apologies.

The missing name is
Lauren

She's a regular of the club now, and shoots very well.
I didn't deliberately forget, so please don't hurt me =)

In more serious matters.
The registration pack for the competition is being completed, and
will be available for reading during the shoots.
The final cost is $30/event, however depending on how many people
sign up by the 27th of June, there will be subsidy from the club to
help reduce the cost.

A uniform will be required as previously stated, and we will work on
getting the information about costs and availabilities soon.

Hi All,

An update on Club events and things to be aware of.

Firstly, due to the bad weather, we were not able to shoot on
Tuesday, even though through the many opinions of club members, the
field was dry enough to shoot on. However, it was the groundsmen's
decision to not allow usage, and we respect it, but if it was the
Sports Union, and the grounds staff said it was ok, we would have
shot. According to the weather forecasts, it should be clearing up
on Thursday, so fingers crossed the weather holds out for a clear day
so we can shoot on Friday. But, if it does rain out again with the
field closed, then blame the weatherman.

The issue of Affiliation is at hand. The documentation has been
handed to the people at Archery Australia, and the decision to vote
and accept Sydney University Archery as a affiliated AA Club will
happen on Saturday. There isn't any real apparent reason why we will
not be voted in as a club, so we should be fine. However, we require
to know how many people wish to affiliate as we need to organise
monies to pay for the affiliation membership once 1st July comes
around. So, if you are interested, at all, then let us know as soon
as possible, or if you wish to discuss it, then talk to us (Don,
Alex, Dan) about it and we can help with any questions. Depending on
how many people wish to affiliate will determine any kind of subsidy
for the affiliation costs.

Club Relocation is an issue which has been brought up by the Sports
Union people. Due to OH&S we are to be relocated somewhere. After a
meeting with Jim Larven, the CEO of AA, and chair of ANSW, it was
deemed that St Pauls oval was the safest choice, which would also
allow us to get long distance practice shooting on. The sports union
has taken this to heart, and are attempting negotiations with St
Pauls college to allow us usage of the field, however there are
issues with storage. At worse, we may have to carry equipment every
session from some other location to our allocated field, but with
helping hands in numbers it won't be as bad as it sounds. And at
best case scenario is we get storage at the final field location.
Fingers crossed for a resolution soon.

Fundraising has grinded to a halt, as Cadbury's has not sent any
forms and information as requested by us, twice. So if you are keen
about helping us fundraise, please call Cadbury's and request a
fundraising orderform and informations pack for us, and pass it onto
the club exec's.

COMPETITION
****
The competition in July requires final numbers listing by this friday.
The dates at the 17th and 18th July.
If you can come to these dates, then please do come and compete.
We will attempt to subsidise the cost of the entry for our club
members, but the more people that compete, the cheaper it will be.
At this present point in time, we require a minimum of 25 entries to
keep it under $30/day.
We have about 10 people from other universities coming, so please,
please email me back with your name if you are willing to compete, or
tell me this friday (once I come down after my classes, approx
5pmish) or Adrian, or Alex, or Kirsten. Late entries will be
accepted, but with a higher entry fee.

Some people who are regulars that I will name, are recommended to
come if they can afford it, and will be around in Sydney are:

Don (I'm definitely coming)
Adrian
James
Alex
Dan
Kirsten
Bobby
Anna Marie
Caroline
Hamish
Matt
Wilson
Rhiannon
Danya
Gerry
Rene
Jonathan
Minh
Grace
Anelie(spelling? Since you didn't come to the Novices competition...)
Steven R
There are some others that I know by sight, but not by name.....
If you are not on that list, maybe you should be, or more so, why
aren't you on that list?! Come more often, shoot more often and
we'll get to know you better. =)

You will require a uniform for the event, but we will make it as
cheap and quality as possible, currently with the idea as a screen
printed shirt at about $10 each. But that also depends on how many
people will purchase shirts.

But, we will try to subsidise as much as we can for the events!
****

The club's Humungo target has come in (the white foam target thing
with the multple circles on it), and once they figure out how to rig
it up with a rope and peg, it will be available for the compound and
better shooters to plug away at, which will possibly mean a
retirement of the Frankentarget, but that will be determined by our
President and Equipment officers. We are still awaiting the delivery
of the Whitetail target which will hold the 122cm faces.

I don't think there is anything else at the moment, but any news
which effects club members will be of course relayed to you.

Questions? Comments? Reply to ikk@... with them.

Hi everyone,
The Australian recurve team is now in France to compete in the 2nd
European Grand Prix. You can keep track of how they are doing at
http://grand.prix.evry2003.free.fr/.

In addition to the team are two AIS archers who are there to gain
international experience.

The team did very well in Croatia with four archers winning some
World Ranking Points, and David Barnes winning the Bronze medal.
Hopefully they can do it again this week.

Hi All,

We are moving into top gear for our competition in July.
As part of that, we require a rough number of people to work out
costs for the event.

If you are interested in coming, then please reply by emailing me, or
telling me at the archery sessions, if I am not there, then you will
have to email me.

The details so far

When: 17th and 18th July
Where: The University of Sydney
What: 17th Geelong (30m, 122cm faces [The big ones], 90 arrows)
       18th Either A) Short Canberra (30m, 40m, 50m, 122cm faces, 30
arrows each distance) or
                   B) Adelaide (30m, 40m, 50m, 60m, 80cm face for
30m/40m and 122cm face for 50m/60m)
How Much: Should not be more than $30/day. A discount will apply if
you shoot both days.

No food will be provided for the event.

So, the more people that come, the cheaper the entry will be!
It is a good opportunity to compete, especially the second day for
different distances to the usual 30m at training sessions.

I require a response by those who wish to compete in this by the 30th
of May.

So, please reply soon.

Thanks

It's only $48 (don't know if it'll be cash or taxable) but if you
don't have anything else better to do, and wake up early enough to
earn the money, then please write with your contact details, and
mention that you were informed by Don from Sydney Uni Archery.

Hello Club,
As you may be aware, the Club is going to become affiliated with
Archery Australia in July (hopefully:-). Given that we are just past
halfway through May, we need to start signing interested people up. I
must stress that joining is up to you. IE it is not compulsary. This
level of membership is what was voted for at the AGM as 'competitive
membership'. All it means is that you are affiliated with Archery
Australia. If you are just doing archery for fun and relaxation then
this is probably not for you.

Benefits of Joining:
- You get to shoot at other archery clubs in Australia or overseas.
- You get to shoot in Archery Australia competitions.
- You get access to a much higher level of coaching.
- You get to represent your Uni in competition.
- You are covered by Archery Australia Insurance wherever you shoot.
- You get to represent Australia at international events (if you are
good enough:-).
- You are helping Australia's Olympic Archery effort.

Cost: I am not sure of the cost for this year yet. Last year it was
$86. There has been talk of a $10 increase. It is probably safest to
assume that affiliation will cost $100. That is for membership to AA
from July 03 to July 04. The Club may or may not be providing a
subsidy (to be decided).

If you are interested, let us (the Club exec) know either at training
or via email.

Happy shooting

Hi All,

Another newsletter for the Sydney University Archery Club.

Reminders for this week.

We have a special AGM on Friday, 9th May to vote in two changes, one
is that all references to SUSU (Sydney Uni Sports Union) to be
changed to SU Sport, and to vote a female delegate to the sports
union.

A reminder for weather conditions. Generally we shoot in almost all
weather except major rain conditions, however we may have orders from
the sports union to not use the field, for safety reasons (insurance
liability for people slipping) and for grounds reasons (tearing up
grass etc) If this happens, please do not get upset at us, but
instead take your claims to the Sports Union directly. =)
Regardless of the weather, there should usually be someone at the
lockers to inform of such a change.

Updates on Club events.

We are in the process of purchasing a foam target. The expected
arrival of the target is a fortnight to three weeks, so by the end of
may, a replacement for Frankentarget should be here. However, since
Frankentarget hasn't completely fallen apart, we may still have to
use it until our secondary foam targets (PSE Humungo) are purchased.

Affiliation and the July competition is being organised, and is going
well. More details as they emerge.

We are still awaiting from Cadbury's to send a order form pack so we
can start selling chocolates (slack people they are....) So, fingers
crossed that it actually happens.

Logo Competition
The logo competition is now open.
The requirements are simple.
It has to include the SU Sport Logo (same as the SUSU logo).
Something simple enough that we can screen print if we wish to make
uniforms.
Something that represents the club, and the spirit of the people in
the club.
Submissions can either be handed in person to me (Don Chiou, White
Bandana guy with the Blue compound), or emailed to me at
don@...
Please keep the size to less than half A4 for paper submission or a
640x640 jpg/bmp for emailed submissions.
A prize is yet undetermined.
Closing date for this will be the 30th May 2003.
The entries will be judged by the committee and executives.

Alex Norman (Beard/Goatee, Blue Recurve shooter) plans to make a
purchase of items from www.altservices.co.uk in about a fortnight.
If you wish to make purchases of equipment from their store, please
let him know, so we can save on postage and custom taxes with a bulk
order.

Any other things people wish to have announced, please let me know.
Thanks and happy shooting

Hi Everyone,
For those interested, the Australian recurve team have just flown to
Croatia to take part in the first leg of the European Archery Grand
Prix. This event is a World Rankings Tournament. Points are awarded
according to where you place that contribute towards your roling
World Ranking. However, of even greater importance is that this is a
pre-Olympic year AND World Championship year. The Grand Prix, and
other international events like it, are used as warm-up events for
international teams before the World Champ's. Being a pre-Olympic
year is significant because at the World Champ's, countries, through
the placings of their archers, gain coveted entry spots to next
year's Olympics. Each country is entitled to only three places for
men and three places for women. However, there are only 64 places in
total for each, and many countries often miss out on fielding a full
strength team. Fielding a full strength team means that the country
is able to participate in the 'Teams Event' at the Olympics, so its
doubly important.

Australia has a good chance of gaining at least two spots for the
men, and probably two spots for the women. We also have a second
chace to get any remaining spots at next year's Oceania Championships.

You can follow the teams progress at the Croatian Grand Prix website:
http://www.archery.hr/GP2003/

Look out for Australia's David Barnes, currently ranked 11th in the
World (at 17 years of age!!), Jade Beatty, and Tim Cudihy + others.
Also look out for such archery greats as Michelle Frangilli (best all
round male recurve archer in the world at present in my opinion),
Lionel Torres (former World Champ), Natalia Valeeva, + others.

This is the top of world archery. Check it out.

Hi Everyone,
For those of you that may be interested, the Australian National
Championships are being held at the moment in Brisbane. Some amazing
scores have been shot so far. Only the Compound archers have shot the
target event as yet. Recurve archers have been shooting the field
event (a different discipline).

After day 2 the 2003 Australian Men's Compound Champion is Zoran
Singerov shooting the amazing scores of 1371 and 1386. To give you an
idea of how great those scores are consider that at our competition
on Friday, Hamish scored an average of 50 points per end (of a
possible 60) at 20m on a 122cm target face. Zoran scored an average
of 56 points per end on a 122cm face at 90m. Just phenomenal shooting.

The 2003 Women's Compound Champion is Madeline Ferris also with
amazing scores: 1345 and 1364. No info on the breakdown of her day 2
score as yet.

Also of note was Brian Politis' score of 1380 on day 2 (he came
second overall) including a 360 at an 80cm face at 30m. That is 360
points out of a possible 360 - A PERFECT SCORE. Just amazing.

If you would like to look at the scores you can view them at

Finally got the images off the digital camera.
There are 14 in total for the Novices competition, and they can be

Unfortunately, the scorecard photos are not very clear at all, and so
it is hard to see their individual round scores, but their overall

So, feel welcome to go check them out.

Hi All,

For those who perhaps would have come to the Novice shoot, but didn't
because of the weather, you should have because the weather fined up
and it was excellent for shooting.

The day went very well, with 11 competitors total, including a lone
representative from UNSW coming to shoot with us.
Everyone shot really well, and I hope that they enjoyed the event.

The scores, out of a possible 900,

1st - Hamish 753
2nd - Matt 676
3rd - Mark (UNSW) 663
4th - Jonathan 632
5th - Lauren 618
6th - Carl 612
7th - Wilson 568
8th - John 545
9th - Steven 519
10th - Ranson 461
11th - Grace 418

Hamish's score breakdown -
47,50,52,45,47,50,46,47,54,52,56,50,50,52,55
With 5 X's.
Average of 50.2 Which isn't too shabby at all for a Novice, having
only shot maximum of 16 times with 3 arrows most of the time.

Statistics.
Average of 588 points for the entire competition. This equates to a
39/60 average, which is a very good score for Novices.

As a heads up, at the July shoot, the Novice division winners are
usually in the 700's score range of 15 rounds of 6 arrows at 30m on
the large 122cm target faces. This comes to 47/60 average, which by
the looks of things, is not unattainable by some of our Novices. So
keep on practicing.

Thank you to all that came along to compete, as well as those who
came to watch, drink coffee and shoot at Frankentarget.

Hello everyone. This is your Secretary speaking. SU Sport has brought
to the attention of the Executive a couple of changes that are
required to our Constitution that were not included at the AGM. In
line with the requirements of the Club's Constitution I am calling a
Special General Meeting to allow us to vote these required changes
in. The meeting will take place on Friday the 9th of May from 2pm in
the Square. It should not take more than 5 minutes or so. The changes
are as follows:
- All references to "Sydney University Sports Union" and "SUSU" have
been replaced with SU Sport.
- Clause 23 changed to "shall appoint two delegates, one male and one
female".

The current constitution is available for viewing on the Club website.

We will also need to elect one of the female Executive members to
become our representitive to SU Sport in line with the change to
Clause 23.

Good luck to all competing tomorrow. Will see you there.

Hi All,

Sorry to bombard your email inboxes, but I would like to now confirm
and inform that we do have prizes on offer for the Novices
Competition this Friday.

1st Place will take home a Pair of Binoculars valued at $50, donated
kindly by Benson's Archery Warehouse (on Paramatta Rd Granville). A
excellent piece of equipment to spot your arrows at 90m, or just to
check out the local birds or horses round campus.

2nd Place will take away with them a Arm Guard. It's White, It's
Plastic and it's Fantastic in comparison to the old crappy leather
ones the club has in stock. Worth the while to prevent nasty bruises
and injuries to your arm and sleeve.

3rd Place will take something home, at this point in time, probably a
consolation chocolate but we'll come up with something or other.

So, if 1st and 2nd place prizes tickle your fancy, and you are a
Novice, then here is your opportunity to score some stuff and show us
what you've got.

Entry is still only $5
Drinks will be sold, maybe also chocolates/nibblies.
Lunch is NOT provided!!

And parents, friends or other interested people are welcome to come
along and watch.

There may be competitors from UNSW and other Uni's around Sydney, so
be prepared to socialise =)

Hi All,

Just as a reminder for you all out there, this Friday is Good Friday,
and as a result, the Arena Sports Center will not be open, and
therefore we will not, I repeat, we will not be shooting.

Next week however is a different matter. The 22nd for those who are
interested in shooting, we will be open, however, as it is holidays,
do not expect a prompt service and set up, and it is a opportunity
for our hard working older members to shoot (instead of signing up
and teaching new members) so please to not bring people along to join
up or those who have never shot before.

The newbies who intend on shooting on Anzac day are well advised to
come for some practice before next Friday. We will also be doing
equipment repairs, so some bows and arrows may be out of commission
from use until repaired.

Again, as a reminder (as only 15 people indicated their preference of
competing), we are holding a beginners competition shoot on Anzac
day. It is $5 entry, and will start at 10:30am. Please come if you
are interested and can.

Thank you

Hi Everyone,
Well it was a much nicer day today. Sunny and calm until half way
through 50m. After that there was a strongish but consistent wind
from the left that got stronger at 30m.

My scores:
90m - 195 (pb)
70m - 195 (can't explain why so bad)
50m - 254 (pb)
30m - 299
Total Men's FITA - 943 (pb)

My final placing was third, so I got a Bronze medal!! Although that's
not saying much as there were only three people in my division.

All in all a good, fun weekend. I'm very tired after about 300 arrows
over the two days.

Hi all,

Firstly, congratulations to Alex with his results on the weekend yet
again, especially his All Gold round .

I am happy to officially state the starting time for the Novice
Competition on the 25th April 2003.

The field has been booked from 10am to 4pm.

Registration and payment of $5/entry fee starts at 10:30am.
Start of Competition rules, briefing and commencement of shooting is
at 11:00am.
There will be a break at the half-way point of the shoot.

Those who have commitments on Anzac day, if you can, and you wish to
compete, do try your best to arrive before 11:00am, but if you do
arrive a little late, before 11:30 then you may still compete (as we
can allow catch-up rounds) but it is not encouraged for those who
want to sleep in.

If you can come before 10:30am and help set up, then please do, as it
will be greatly appreciated.

So far, only a small handful of you have given any indication of if
you will come and shoot (located on the Polls page of the groups
website), so please let us know so we can plan the event more
effectively and efficiently. I hope that this additional time
information will help make decisions on attendance.

Any further questions can be directed to sydneyuniarchery-
owner@... or posted on the messageboard linked.

Hi Everyone,
Homebush again, this time for the Metro's. It was cold this morning,
and the wind was deceptive all day. It often rotated 180 degrees
within one end. Scores were low all around.

Only me competing, so:
90m - 150 (pb)
70m - 198 (gusty changing wind began in earnest)
50m - 233 (same but died down after 4th end)
30m - 307 (pb - Wind totally gone. That score included a miss, I
nocked the arrow off the rest - Doh!! One end scored 56 All Gold. I
get a badge for that!!)
Total Men's FITA: 888

So even though I shot 42 points lower than last week I am happy. My
scores were consistent throughout, and the All Gold Badge did much
too raise my spirits. Also, most of the top shooters lost 100 points,
so that made me feel better.

Speaking of top shooters... Matt Gray was there today. Matt has shot
at at least 2 Olympics and has been selected to represent AUS at the
World Championships in New York this July. His shooting is amazing to
watch. Powerful, relaxed, and smooth - I could watch him shoot all
day. And, to put the 'you need expensive equipment to do well' myth
to shame. Matt shoots a Gold Medalist riser: cost $250.

Hi All,

I recieved a email from a shooter who asked if we could provide a
starting time for the competition on ANZAC date due to ANZAC day
commitments.

Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, it has not been
determined. However, I will put forward a tentitive 10:30am
Mustering/Registration and a 11:00am start of shooting. When the
competition is over, no-one knows, but we must be finished before
3:30pm to pack up by 4pm.
I will try and confirm and get a definate time tomorrow discussing it
with other committe members.

The archery member also mentioned in their email that they were
intimidated with the thought of competition.
We are holding this Novice only shoot specifically for the purpose of
Novices, so you don't have to feel intimidated, as only other newbies
like yourselves will be shooting and competing. It will be good
practice for any competition you might enter later in the year that
the club has, or in state/national competitions after we affiliate.

The format is fairly simple, and it is also a very casual and relax
thing.
Order of events are usually as follows:
Two practice rounds of 'x' arrows
A number of scoring rounds
Break
One practice round
Second half of scoring rounds.
Recount of scores
"Presentation"

The scoring is fairly easy too.
After you shoot, when you go out to get the arrows, you just count
and record on a sheet of paper (score sheets) your arrows' scores,
mark the holes with pen, and return to shoot another round.

All of it is very easy, so there is no need to be anxious. It will
be of course explained on the day again in more depth so you don't
have to try and memorise this or anything.

More information when it comes. =)

And, as it has been demonstrated, if you have any questions, feel
free to write to the sydneyuniarchery-owner email, or post a message
on the messageboard at http://disc.server.com/Indices/155863.html and
it will be answered as soon as possible.

Thanks for reading

Hi All,

As the group owner and one of the moderators for the group, I would
like to thank you for all joining the group in a prompt manner. I
hope that in the future it will be a valuable resource for the club
and members for gathering information and other useful bits and
pieces.

In this edition, it will highlight some of the upcoming events and
club issues.

1) Polls - So far it has been a rather poor response, with 46
registered members, only 9 people have taken the small amount of time
(5 mins max in my opinion) to go to the polls and cast their
opinion. Your opinion matters because we try to do things on how the
club members decide upon. So, please, if you have not taken the time
to visit the polls link and vote, then do so (And statistically, we
need a minimum of 25 votes per poll for it to be valid) =)

2) Fundraising - It has been decided that we will sell chocolates as
a fundraising exercise (yes, and the poll for that will continue to
run as well). We have been able to get a almost guarentee market as
James Shepherd has successfully managed to convince his boss to sell
them in the computer Access Labs around Campus. We are in the
process of ordering in the chocolates, and when they are in, we will
provide more details to those who do wish to help sell them for the
club.

Until the polls are concluded there won't be any raffles or logo
competitions.

3) Competitions - There is currently a Novices only competition in
the works for ANZAC day between USYD and UNSW people. The event will
be a 20m shoot, with the number of arrows, and time of the event to
be decided. The cost will be $5 to enter. We would like to know
numbers as we will be organising targets, selling drinks, running the
cafe (coffee machine!!!) and perhaps even a BBQ or Pizza lunch if it
starts in the morning. There is a poll for the novices (people who
have joined up in 2003 and have never shot before) to give their
answer. Please answer the poll before next Friday the 11th April.

A second competition for the more advanced and serious shooters is
being also considered on the Saturday 26th April, but it is still
being discussed.

A Inter-Uni competition is being also worked out, for the Middle week
of the Mid year break, around second week of July. It will most
likely be 2 or up to 3 days with different distances involved. More
details released when we have them.

4) AGM - The Annual General Meeting last Friday was a good one with
many things discussed. The list of office bearers are in the
database link, and the minutes will be available in the files section
once it is completed.

5) Future Range fees - Due to funding issues, it is highly likely
that we will have to start to charge a small fee ($1-$2) for each
time you come to shoot (so essentially a gold coin compulsory
donation). It will be implemented later in the year, possibly when
we Affiliate in July. This is a warning to inform the members, so
you can either start saving so you can shoot (though we are working
also on discounted "season passes"), or getting rid of Coke
addictions (since a 600ml bottle is $2.....)

You will be updated when the final information is decided upon.

---
A word for a sponsor.
Our Compound target - Frankenstein the Scarecrow, was made possible
thanks to Wing Wetsuits, located on Captain Cook Dr, Caringbah. They
generously provided us with their wetsuit material offcuts which make
the bulk majority of the target and without it, it would be shooting
straight cardboard. So, if you are a surfer, bodyborder, and are
looking to purchase a wetsuit, give them a look, because you support
us by supporting them. Their link is listed in the Links section.
---

Well, that is it for this edition, so happy shooting folks.

Hi everyone,
Well, got up while still dark. Picked up Dan and drove to Homebush.
SIAP is a very nice venue.
Weather was very calm, cool in the morning with spots of rain but
nothing much. Very very nice shooting weather, especially given the
distances shot.

Scores.
Dan Bray 70m: 200 (pb)
          60m: 202
          50m: 241 (pb)
30m: 304 (pb and STATE RECORD!! Congratulations Dan)
        Total: 937 (pb)

Alex Norman 90m: 133 (pb)
             70m: 239 (equal pb)
             50m: 253 (pb)
             30m: 305 (pb)
           Total: 930 (pb)

All in all a very happy and successful day. That is Dan's third State
Record in 4 months. Some famous faces were at the shoot : Jade Beatty
(AIS scholarship holder and 2003 WAC team member), Jackson Fear
(Former World Record Holder coming back from a drugs suspension), +
others.

Great day! Hopefully we will see more Sydney Uni people there in the
future.

Regards
Alex Norman
