A new version of WBTrader is now available

The new version has some major changes which make it so much faster
and better to use.

The biggest change is that data is now loaded from the Westpac
Broking website in the background which means you can can now
refresh multiple windows simultaneously and still be doing things in
other windows.


Changes since previous version
==============================

* Multi-tasking Access

Previous versions of WBTrader have frozen when data is being
retrieved from the Westpac web site. v0.9 now retrieves data in the
background so you can continue to use the application whilst data is
refreshed.

* Market Depth

You can now show or hide the additional trading details shown in the
market depth window.

* Price Charts

All the options can be hidden or shown in one section instead of
three.

* Announcements

The previous version showed an incorrect number of announcements in
watch lists under certain circumstances. This has been fixed. Also
the ASX changed their site which meant that the previous version of
WBTrader could no longer read announcements. This has also been
fixed.

* Orders

Now when you place or ammend an order any open review orders window
will be refreshed automatically.


Future changes
==============

I am still working on an alerts feature where you will be able to
set custom alerts based on last price, buy or sell price, volume,
and announcement (price sensitive or any). I am also thinking of
alerts based on moving averages.

I may also highlight buy and sell orders in market depth windows.

Any comments on these or suggestions for new features welcomed.


Download WBTrader v0.9
======================

I have had problems making the new version install on some
computers. If you do install v0.9 I would be keen to hear back on
whether you had problems.

You can download the new version update here:

I suggest you make a copy of your current WBTrader folder then unzip
the update inside your WBTrader folder.

Then run WBTrader.exe which hopefully should work. If it returns an
error then try one of the following:

a) In the WBTrader folder double-click on GetHtml2.exe, this will
register this part of the application with Windows.

b) Open a "Command Prompt" window and change into the WBTrader
folder, eg:

cd c:\program files\wbtrader

Then type the following command to register one of the
application's files:

regsvr32 timerlite.dll

c) If none of the above work please contact me for further
suggestions.
