Hi Kerrie -ann
I was there too, I was part of the "car boot sale " not that I sold
much, just wanted to clear some gear I am not using so I could at
least get into the storeroom!!
The stallions were Pennant High Flyer a bay ten year old Sec D owned
by Bryson Bensley in Goulburn, and Cwmkaren Twysoges Dhu a two or
three year old ( I forget which ) black Sec D owned by Michelle Bowes
of Bungonia.
Yes the weather was appaling for a while, we had the cars for the boot
sale and the barbecue under cover in the Peden Pavillion and because
of the rain, the horses had to be paraded down the middle of this
pavillion in between us. They even paraded in harness and under saddle
as well and everyone of them were exemplory in behaviour. Breeds on
view were Welsh Cobs, no other welsh exhibits, Irish draught, Quarter
horse, Warmblood, shetlands , arabian , thoroughbred and the first
Morgan I have seen in the flesh, who was shown led, under saddle and
in harness ,a lovely four year old black stallion. Hope they made
some money over all as there were a lot of people watching it all.
