April, I love watching the C and D's as well. I remember Melbourne Royal a
couple of years ago watching the Best in Hand welsh exhibit. Out came
Snowdonvale Soloman and WOW did a workout that blew me away and obviously the
judge as well as he took the award. Watching the section D's at Barastoc also
WOW. I guess thats why its such a shame no one gets to see them very much as
they are a sight to behold.
Cheers

Such a shame, as I LOVE watching the big "D"s.
A few weeks back I stewarded at a little show and the entries were certainly
down for the "C" and "D"s. However the ones that competed were divine,
especially the big Black "D" Stallion, not sure of his name.
Maybe one reason they don't go out is they only go to shows that qualify them
for Royals,(3 performances for Syd) then they stay home. Money must be quite
tight at the moment for everyone with feed being so expensive?
I know this year I am only going to shows that qualify for the Royals. Neither
myself or hubby are working so the least shows I have to attend the better. And
I am just so past going out every weekend, I hate the wind, rain, even sun, I
only like going out when it is pleasant weather, but then that is called AGE!!!
lol
