hi Paula,
I have been breeding Cobs for 10 years and before that
Anglo Arabians and from the experince of the cob breed different
lines take longer than others.
I have stock that i have breed by Barnon Imperial jack and i
find him with most mares they are up to full height by time they are
2, but fill up in body as they get a little older. Where as I have a
sec "C" stallion Fluer de lys Hamish who is by jack out of a wingana
nare and he hasn'tgrowen since he was 2, where as Fluer de Lys Jack
Daniel with the common sire but Acheron Dol as his mother and i
think he will be 5 atleast 5 before he is really looking all
together, he might be 8or 9 as some do take a long time to mature.
So the answer to the height is go halfway between the sire and
the dam and that is what you would expect to get. BEST OF LUCK IN THE
FUTURE YOU SHOULD TRY TO COME TO THE COB WEEKEND IN MARCH.
HOPE I MAY HAVE HELPED Julie www.dluerdelys.com
