Re: [welshcobs] Royal Survival Kit

Survival Tip In my opinion there is only 1 DON'T GET STRESSED it is only a big ag show. If you get stressed you then don't enjoy it and if you don't enjoy it why do it ---it costs to much -----have fun Cheers TARA

Hi Deb,

That makes showing seem a big stress, in hand showing is heaps easier just bring your horse his bridle and papers arrive clean do your class and go home, easy!

Courtesy of Bambi, thought would share this with group!

"Survival Kit",  here is just a few thingy's.

1. Make sure you take plenty of jokes/humour....you must laugh at least once a day.

2. Take plenty of water and snacks (especially if you're taking kids).

3. Make sure they (kids) have their own pocket money and an absolute limit on how much they can spend.

4. (REALLY IMPORTANT) Make sure everyone has a phone!!!!! (we had our car stolen from Melbourne show last year...we now all have a phone each.

5. Type up and highlight in different colours each horses classes for the day. Then stick it up on the wall of the locker.

6. Take swag and sleeping bag for quick naps between everything.

7. Take extra torch just in case.

8. Get trendy neck thingy to hold keys and membership things (badge or card) (Billabong or RIpCurl) *essential.

9. Only take cash to the show...no Credit Cards (then you don't get tempted to buy more stuff)

10. Take extra batteries in all sizes....and chargers for everything....phones...clippers etc.

11. Take table and chairs for extra bums and the junk collection after a few days.

12. Buy a plastic thingy with pockets that can be put over the door for papers...no.s etc. etc.
