Re: [welshcobs] wolf teeth

Hi Paula,

My Vet/Dentist recommended they go, so they went with ours.

Regards,
Kim

Subject: [welshcobs] wolf teeth

Hi All,
I have a question... :-)

Griffon (Hillswood Morningstar), had his teeth done today, lucky boy that he
is, and the vet wanted to know if I wanted his wolf teeth taken out - as it is
easier done when they are young.

So, is this a necessary thing to do? I looked at the instruments that he would
be using and I recon the boy will have a sore jaw for a while if he gets them
removed.

How much trouble have people had with wolf teeth in their boys? I know that
they are sometimes removed as they can cause problems with bits, but is this
something I should do now or should I leave it and see how things pan out?
(he isn't ridden in a bit and bridle yet, though I suppose I will subject him
to a bit sometime in the future for his own education)

Ta,
Paula.

Hi Natalie, This is not a query about wolf teeth, but rather about the gold loose ring KK bit. I'd be interested in why you like it as it seems to be quite...

Hi Adel and everyone, Griffons wolf teeth are only tiny little nubs - about 1/2 a cm at the moment - though he is only 3 1/4. So do wolf teeth sometimes not...

Hi Paula, they are unlikely to grow much more. They are usually just as you put it "little nubs", with not much root to them. They are what we call...
