Hi,
I have mentioned Trouby was for sale to a couple of people over here
in WA so I wondered if you knew the name of the people interested in
him??? As I am the treasurer of the WA RPG and one of the only pure
cob stallion owners over here I have had a few enquiries. There are a
few really nice welshy people over here that would do him proud,(and a
few that wouldn't)so I just wondered.I would have loved him myself but
my finance's are limited..(story of my life) If you were wanting to
lease him I would jump at the chance..lol...
anyway it would be great to have a choice over here..

good luck oh and Happy 2006 to everyone..

regards
Kathy

well after three days straight of over indulging on food, food and
more food I have resorted to sitting in front of the computer to try
to catch my breath !!!!
as my family is spread out all over WA we spend most of our time
driving somewhere to sit down to yet another HUGE feast then we drive
home eating all the way to keep ourselves awake..
I think our mounts will tell us just how much over indulging we have
done the first time we attempt to mount...Even the thought of that
terrifies me this morning..lol...

well a few days of normal eating before we hit New Years and it starts
all over again...aaaagggghhhhh...

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year to
everyone..

best wishes
Kathy ( the very full one)

Holiday Eating Tips

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows
nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately.
Go next door, where they're serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. Like fine single-malt scotch,
it's rare. In fact, it's even rarer than single-malt scotch. You can't find it
any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000
calories in every sip? It's not as if you're going to turn into an eggnog-aholic
or something. It's a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It's later than
you think. It's Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That's the whole point of gravy. Gravy
does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes.
Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they're made with skim milk or whole
milk. If it's skim, pass. Why bother? It's like buying a sports car with an
automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your
eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat other people's
food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year's. You
can do that in January when you have nothing else to do. This is the time for
long naps, which you'll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a
10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted
Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them
and don't budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of
attention. They're like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind,
you're never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple. Pumpkin. Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or, if you
don't like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When
else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it's loaded with the mandatory
celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don't feel terrible when you leave the party or get up
from the table, you haven't been paying attention. Reread tips; start over, but
hurry, January is just around the corner.

Thanks for your reply Bev, however I think the pony has been sold! Seems the
people who said they weren't interested in him came back after 10 days and
decided otherwise. I'm sooooo disappointed as he would have been exactly
what I was looking for ... good with kids and 13.2hh, 12yo. Took me 6
months to find and gone within 24 hours!

Thanks again.

Hi Tricia,

Although I'm not in the local area I am a committee member from the G&PRPG
welsh group. We have our meeting on Monday night & I know people who live
in the Warrigul area. If you give me some further details I may be able to
have someone at least check out the details of the pony for you. Other wise
there is a welsh friends group on yahoo & I know some of the members are
from West Gippsland you could try there

Good luck

I was wondering if there is anyone on this list who lives fairly locally to
West Gippsland/Warrigal (sp?). I have found a pony which looks to be of
welsh extraction which I am seriously considering buying but I can't get
there to have a look at him. I live in the Adelaide Hills. I was wondering
if there is anyone who lives nearby who could check out this gelding for me.
If so, could you please give me a call on (08) 8568 5433 or 0427 177 300.
Thanks,
Tricia

Thanks, will post a picture as soon as I work out how to shrink. My new
computer hasn't got ACDSee which is the only programme I can use to shrink
photos.
