If we dont pull now and get our butts into gear then we should not
bitch about it when it arrives. They are working quicker than we are
and we will all be out of pocket if we dont make some noise about it
now.

It is with regret I advise the Geelong District RPG will cease
operation at this present time through lack of interest from members
who are not able to support and participate in the functioning of the
Group.
A group cannot continue without support from the welsh members of our
region and further afield.
If YOU would like to be part of the Geelong District Group and see it
continue on as a Sub-Committee of the WPCS now is the time to speak up.
If I do not receive any contact from members wanting to continue on
with the group we will have no choice but to disband.
To lodge your expressions of interest and support to enable the GDRPG
to continue please direct enquiries to ~ ballynamona@...

Kind Regards
Karen

Hi Alyssa
Your barking up all the right trees :-)
The requirements for brands vary from state to state
Here in NSW we have to apply to our local Rural Lands Protection Board
for a brand
Stud prefix or name is just a matter of having it approved by the
society that you register your pony with
but this can get a bit tricky as there is no central register and
sometimes a stud name can be approved with one society but already taken
in another
You need to be creative choosing a stud name
Fees for these are not expensive and one off for lifetime ownership so
pretty worthwhile.

To register your pony you will need a service certificate from the owner
of the stallion and then fill out the form
You would need to contact the various societies that your mare is
registered with since your boy may be eligible for the same reg as his mum
I would recommend registering him part welsh as the Welsh Shows are the
most fun :-)

Hi everyone. I'm a complete newbie to breeding. We're about to get our
lovely 07 colt gelded, and I wanted to get him branded and registered.
I'd really love some advice on this. His dam is registered as part
bred with WPCS, RP and APSB. His sire is pure welsh. How do I get him
registered? Should I contact the stud where I had my mare served for
advice on this? Is it worth registering my own prefix? I noticed it
didn't cost so much on the WPCS site, but do I need to register him
with the lands protection board, or somewhere else? Should I get a
brand made up? Where would I go to do that? Is it expensive? Am I
barking up completely the wrong tree? Help!

I have just purchased a palomino gelding from the horse market. I am
trying to find out his breeding. My farrier thinks he is part draft
type as he has big feet and a fairly large head so I thought as he is a
pali maybe he has cob in him.(more wishfull thinking really)

He is approx 16hh, 4 stockings and a full blaze. He is a nice ride but
quite nervous on the ground and very nervous about things near his back
end..He has a near side shoulder brand S4B..
If anyone knows anything about his brand it would be great..
   thanks

Hi All

Next season at the latest I will be looking to buy a section D mare or
filly from weanling age.
It is imperative that she is breeding quality and the bigger the better.
I want her to replace Acheron Angyles (shes an old girl now and I
don't think I will be putting her back in foal after this one).

In a perfect world I would like a double dilute followed by Pally or
Taffy then black. I dont want bay, brown, chestnut or grey despite the
fact that a good horse is never a bad colour.

She must be suitable to breed to our Gypsy Stallions Tom of
Brackenhill, The Paladin or Tacho Drom.

She will NOT be bred to death or before the age of three. A very good
home is assured.

If anyone will have anything suitable please keep me in mind

Regards

Melinda

hm i fail to see why anyone as horse owners and breeders should pay
anything.......we all pay so much for feed and horse gear, if we didnt do what
we do then a lot of people and busnesses would go broke and more on the
unemployment line.........
i think they are just trying to push us all about............what would happen
with a flew pandemic or such in people............would everyone be expected to
dip into there pockets after it was over to pay for it........why do we pay our
taxes ect now.......for them to brag about the extra dosh they have that is ours
anyway...grrrrrrrrrrr.
this needs someone who is educated with some clout and some good lawyers to
take it and the the goverment on.............

Chestnut mare 20/10/04

This poor girl has been stuck at her trainers in Brisbane for 9 months
due to EI
She has been broken and of course micro chipped

I would like to find someone who would be interested in leasing her as
a brood mare and returning her in foal.
The reason for this is we are in the process of moving from Qld to W.A
and becoming a Mum would do her good.
She has wonderful movement and good confirmation.
