Hi all
I am currently having to sell my sec c mare as the agistment I use has
been sold and after having my 3rd child I have little or no time. She
is bay 13.2 with only a small star. She is a proven breeder and was
broken in 4 yrs ago but was turned out to breed from. I am asking 1500
for her as I really need to sell her.
She is quiet to catch and do anything with..in fact she will follow
you everywhere!!!
anyone interested can contact me for more details on
janellekiss@...
thanks

Thanks everyone I am very pleased with how whinny is going she only just
started her dressage training this year after being mostly a trail and
lead horse

Hi and Welcome Julie, sorry no photos it was a bit wet so we did our
classes and came straight home
We are heading to a performance show on Sunday so will try and get some
photos then

A good park makes life easier Judith we will be testing my boys this
weekend, his first show and only his 3rd time off the property
Todays ride might have been a bit of help, while practicing our 20 acre
circles :-) I had 3 mare trotting around behind me
If he can cope with that then I am hoping the show will be easy, got to
do the first bath tomorrow that will be fun......

Neither can I Mona. Its just as well I have 3 others under saddle which stifles
my urge to want to do too much too early. :)

He certainly has the paces, athleticism, and trainability to go GP
so I cannot see why not.

Congratulations Sabina.
Cannot wait till Henry is ready for Dressage. Hes coming out 2-3 days per week
at the moment and getting groundwork and a couple of weeks ago when we were
doing our 'park' at the mounting block I threw a leg over. He did not even move
a muscle let alone twitch an eye.
Plan is to back him this time next year and then watch out folks.
Meanwhile he is practising his piaffe and passage (our private joke here at
home) in hand. He is doing well in Shoulder in and
Leg Yeilds and seems to catch on very well so who knows :)

Hi everyone please read the following article and act on asap..

Message

COMPULSORY EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATIONS - URGENT
I had a phone call last night from a friend that works in Animal Health
Australia about the Thoroughbred push for EI vaccinations to be ongoing.

The proposal is that ALL competition horses Australia wide would require
vaccination in order to compete anywhere. The biggest problem with this is that
EI vaccination does not prevent the horse getting the disease, it merely reduces
the symptoms to the point that you may not realise the horse is infected. The
competition horse will attend a show and bring home EI to the non-vaccinated
horses at home. This means that a responsible horse owner will need to not only
vaccinate the competition horses but everything else. The estimated cost is
$100-$200 per horse given every 6 months.

I think we can all guess what would happen to the industry.

We are running out of time to beat the Thoroughbreds on this one. Ian McDonald,
minister for Primary Industries in NSW, has only received 100 letters about this
issue and you can be sure that most will be from the TB racing fraternity. The
TB people are already pushing for reduced quarantine time for their imports
again which is where the problem occurred last time.

People against the idea of compulsory vaccination for competition horses need to
urgently write to Ian McDonald. Petitions are no good, they need individual
letters.

Ok..
The lady that owned her in WA was Jan Muller of Geraldton. Melody was
in foal to Trapalanda Downs Dai Wynne when they lost her to colic.
Jan is still very emotional about the whole thing.
If you wanted to contact Jo at Brookevalley welsh cobs she might be
able to give you some information..

Hope this helps

Hi again,
Melody was an unreg mare from Pennant, she is mentioned else where on
this group. She would have gone to WA probably 2005 or 6. I really
just wanted to find out what she was like as I have a gelding who I
believe to be her only offspring.

Hi,
I am from WA and have been here 1 year. Can you tell me how long ago
this all happened and I might be able to ask some of my friends back in
WA who are on the commity and breed cobs. Do you know if the mare came
for the eastern states? any extra info would be helpful.

After 45 days at Gary and Gretchen's my lovely cob Halal arrived to
great fanfare. I have not owned a horse of my own for 18 years not
since the birth of my oldest who is 18 so I was quite thrilled.

She had clearly been cared for at Gretchen's thanks to both of them.

She is stunning and those of you who know me know I would not just
say that because she is mine. Stunning head , long mane and tail
ooohhh so pretty.

Poor timing created a situation where she got here and sat for two
weeks as my arena installer and friend was hospitalized. Not ideal
for a just started green mare.

But I was able to take her out into the cross ties for what I call a
spa treatment most people call grooming. She was shall we say fussy.
Not mean just fussy. Well for me this was a huge problem as I don't
so much as groom my animals as fuss over them for at least an hour
sometimes two and she was having none of it.

I really had to think about this because getting after her was Not
going to help. Thinking ... then I know... If she has that much
energy she must need more work- out to the back lawn (arena under
construction) back to the cross ties - moving and calling oh I had
no idea you were still feeling so energetic you get the idea. Being a
very good girl at heart it became very clear it was MUCH easier to
stand quietly.

Now in all fairness she had made two moves in two months and didn't
know me from atom but my is she clever and now we are real friends
loves her spa treatments as a girl should and we are fast friends.

I am very happy. A huge thank you to Julie for selling her to me.

Trainer says three very smooth gates and a soft mouth. All good
points. She has not even offered to buck or refuse. I am working
her on the ground before the trainer hops on then cooling her out
after wards. I am really out of shape.. AGR!!

Thanks for all your support

Quamby Park Velvet Ribbons
It is with much sadness that I offer Bonnie for sale. The only reason she is
being sold is due to a N/H OH.
Bonnie is a bay yearling arabian riding pony,part welsh,riding pony,APSB p/b
filly to mature approx 13hh.
She carries brilliant bloodlines being out of QP Ribbons & Bows and also carries
Hamil,Rotherwood Acrobat and Kirreway blood and is an asset to any stud.
This filly has the most amazing movement and a sensational head.
Bonnie does have rachitic ringbone on both back pasterns BUT this should subside
and be reabsorbed with time and with the correct calcium supplements.
This is not genetic and is found in some foals of older mares that do not supply
the right vitamins and minerals through their milk.
However with that in mind I am selling her on the understanding that her new
owner realsises that there is a chance that it may not completly repair and she
may be suitable as a broodmare only.
$1200
