It is really good to finally have something dedicated solely to Welsh
Cobs. Lovely pictures, show results, Cobs for sale (not that I'm
looking, Courage is the greatest!)

Hey Everyone with a welsh cob site. Join the ring that I have created.

Sorry Melinda, no ideas for you on the feathers.
I (hopefully) added an album for mares and put a photo in it as a
test.  Can someone let me know if it worked and they have access to
it (ie did I do it right).

I am wondering if any other cob owners have the same frustrating problem
with feathers that we have.  For the third successive year our cobs have
lost all of their feathering almost overnight.  It has happened at this time
every year - conveniently just in time for the Sydney Royal.

This is not a normal coat change as the loss of feathering is excessive.  My
mare looks like she has been clipped.  Originally I thought it may be
related somehow to Queensland itch as it occurred when my mare Cynda first
had the itch.  However, both the two year olds, who have never shown any
other sign of the itch, have lost most of their feathering as well.

We then thought it might be something to do with the dam, something in the
dam, mud etc.  So, fenced off the dam this year, all seemed well, but in the
last couple of days the feathering is coming out in handfuls.

My vet is at a loss to explain what is occuring.

HAs anyone else ever had this problem with their ponies? Or, more
importantly, does anyone have any suggestions as to what we might do? (Apart
from going into riding ponies!)

You experience and advice will be greatly appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first Vic All Welsh.  WHat a great atmosphere.  It
was terriffic to meet so many other cob people.  I will have some photos of
Lily and Cadbury soon and will attempt to load them onto the site.

Great idea about the group Sabine.  Especially for someone relatively new to
the breed who doesn't know many cob people.

Hi, all congrat. on a lovely site, i have fun looking through it all.
All is going well here at foxglove, we have just had 3 new ponys turn
up from over east, mare and foal from the Nattai stud, Nattai Serch
(by Barri) and foal at foot by Madog + serch is in foal again to
madog. We also purchased a lovely large 1 year old colt section D
from the Hills Wood stud, Hillswood Red Robin, he is a sweet horse
standing at 14hh at just 1. We are looking forwardt to seeing him
grow. My horse Toff (Grenwood Express) is doing well, right at this
time he is putting on lots of wait in the paddock and looking a reall
treat. I tryed to sell toff as i didn't feel it was nice to him
stading around looking good, but when i found a good home for him, i
just couldn't part with him, :) so after many crying nights he now
will have a place here until lucy is bigger so she can ride him as
well.  I and my mom (Dianne Marshall) look forward to seeing more on
this web page.

Jean, I have had the photo album with yahoo for some time so can't remember
the details of getting it.  However, to put the photos on all you have to do
is copy them directly from your computer.  The yahoo photo albums are free
up to a certain limit, quite a large limit.  If you go to the yahoo home
page I am sure they will tell you how to get your own album.
You can have your album private (only you have access), semi-private (where
you email those people who are to have access) or public as mine now is
(anyone can look at the photos).
Its a handy spot to store you photos if you haven't got much room left on
your computer, and of course great for promotion.  They also have a
'briefcase' for data as opposed to photos.  I have used this when I want to
copy a database from one computer to another and it doesn't fit on a disk (I
don't have a zip drive).

Just thought I would mention that I convinced the moderator of
Cyberhorse.com.au to put in a separate listing for Welsh Ponies and
Cobs for sale.
There are currently over 40 advertised, the ads are free and stay on
until the animal is sold or withdrawn.  They can be updated at any
time and you can add a photo for a fee.
Just look under Cyberhorse TVS (the virtual saleyard).  As it is a
popular forum they get a high strike rate.
This is, of course, in addition to ads here, and is an opportunity to
reach the yet-to-be converted Cob enthusiasts as well as the already-
converted.

To View the results go to the "files" link on the left panel and open
the show results folder, also a article at;

So far this season Ive had 7 foals all by Neika Hawfinch colts from
Hazelmere Winsome, Acheron Cottage Rose and Grenwood Starmain the
last has been sold to Steve and Cathy Pile in Qld. Fillys from
Grenwood Whimbrel (for Sale) Grenwood Aeoronwen, Chapel House
Mevanwy, and a section c from Bryncyn Fleur Delys. Still to come 3
section foals. I have pictures of the foals in my breifcase if anyone
