Sorry Kim, we sold him still unbroken, so not much to tell there.
His first owner Allen Maguire most likely broke him, his intention was to
use him in harness.
We sold him to Allen in 1996 (he was in Adelaide then) who then took him to
Tasmania.
I believe Sabina bought him from Allen and used him at stud, then gelded
him.
So not a lot of information.  We had him mouthed by Paul Dunstan, an
excellent breaker.
We showed him a great deal, his first show would have been the Summer Royal
when he was
still on his mum, she was Champion Section C, she was also champion at the
Vic All Welsh that year.
So he had lots of exposure to the world at an early age.
He won Sec C Foal and was runner-up foal in show at that All Welsh (1995).
Then Champion Sec at the Silver Jubilee Foal Show, Res Ch C Colt Vic All
Welsh 96
and Ch Colt and Supreme Sec C at the Youngstock Show 96.
We have had huge success with that particular mating, this latest foal being
Gracie's 9th to
Plod (my only complaint being that 7 of them are colts).  All that have been
shown have been
multi supreme champions and they were all show quality.
Likewise they have had excellent temperaments.  His brother, First Edition,
was only mouthed
when someone came to buy him.  They brought their instructor along to check
him out and she
just go on and rode him bareback.  He unfortunately fell into bad hands, but
has recently turned
up as a wonderful pony club mount (also gelded now).
His sister Surprise Edition was my daughter's PC mount and was shown under
saddle, in hand, did
a lot of Interschool comps then broken to harness.
I'll try to track down a couple of photos for you of him, his sire and dam
and siblings if you like.
What are you going to be doing with him?
Though he was a lovely colt, it is great when they are gelded as they really
make such great
ambassadors in open competition, and the absolute best PC mounts.

the All Welsh he was ridden by an adult. And won :))

Hi Jule unless thry have changed the rules norm is able to ride him
as gary rode him in that class as a youngster. i think the rules are
that you have to be over 14 to ride a stallion and 16 to led them.
the hight of the horse/pony is the important bit see yah JulieF

Hi All
Hope you had a good xmas and the new year is all that everyone
wishes for.
I have just updated a photo in the Cob for sale section. This was
done as the coloured mare that I had my heart set would produce me
my first coloured cob foal,came up empty. She has now been put to
another cob and I guess I will have to keep my fingers crossed for
next year. She is off to the vet tomorrow no more guessing!!!!!
I have decided to take off the market my buckskin overo part arab
colt and we are now advertising Jacks'son who is by Chapel House
Black Magic out of Bookra Mystery Edition.
He has a lovely head, big eye and movement and is rather eye
catching with the lovely wavey mane and he definately has a show
attitude. He is currently in show condition.
The price is $2000 neg to a show home. This decision was made as we
have just leased the gorgeous stallion Lambrook Park Dackery and I
can't keep three boys on the place. As I still am breeding pinto's
we have decided to keep the coloured colt, until I get my coloured
cob to go on with.

Yep, downloaded a great virus on here, via an email attachment from
supposedly MSN.  Called the Swen worm, it was truly exciting and
wasnt I popular lol.Replaced the hard drive in the computer, so all
is well.  Virus guard didnt pick it up 'cause it had been disabled a
while ago and someone forgot to enable it. Anyway, foal is heaps
better, so we are lucky. Tough little Jack critter.

the same 'teaching kids to ride school', lol. Must admit, yep, it
does get results, however, his common reply is 'don't ever say can't,
don't or won't' or his words of wisdom of 'take up bungie jumping
without the rope'.

her line on cobs cheap, good blood lines, one by Acheron Splash of

Yep I got this as well and I use Mcafee Clinic anti virus and it picked it
up and cleaned it. I have had a trojan horse virus come through in the last
few days as well.

Just thought I would introduce myself. Hi Im Shiobhan Im not sure if anyone
knows me but Im on the Horse-Oz email listing too but I hardly post more of
a lurker hehe.

Anyway I dont own a welsh of any sort I have 2 riding thoroughbred mares and
race horses. Very different lol. Though I have ridden some in the past when
I was much lighter hehe. There is a wonderful grey pink nosed welsh mare at
our complex called Sara though I have no idea what section she is. And the
owner never talks to anyone, he never rides her or her friend with her
(brumby station gelding) they get feed once a day. We all feel for her as
she used to a top show pony from the eastern states when he got. His
daughter lost interest and thats it. But you can see she misses showing and
going out anywhere. I almost got to exerise her then he pulled out last
minute bugger.

Well Im sure it will be a pleasure being on this list. Im sure you will all
be helpful as Im am looking for a section d or cob type mare. Im not sure on
what to look for in a particular section, I had the chance to ride a lovely
section d in Perth not that long ago and she sparked my enthusiasm for one.

Last year there will be heaps of yards available.  Other than that,if
you really need stables, try yellow pages online.  Type in agistment,
werribee.  I have done this before for a few shows and it has worked out
quite well.
