Hi,

While buying chaff from a "unique" little farm in the hills of Beechworth!, I came across a welsh section C gelding by Nicinda Yeoman.

He is 5yo  Plain Bay, aprox 13hh and bred by a lady named jackie? And his dam had Wingana breeding according to the owners. I do not think it would be too hard to track his papers with some help from this group. He is quite attractive and useful looking allrounder, broken in, quiet, jumps, just needs education for showring.
Thought if anybody was interested it would be nice to see him go to a welsh enthusiast as he looks like he would be a fun saddle C to campaign.

The owner is Peter Gilson 03 57281133 They are asking $1500.00

Goodluck

George.

Hi Bridget, if the cob you are looking at shows
quality and is true to type I wouldn't give the blue
in the eye a second thought. Make sure though that it
is a genetic marking and not from an injury. if it is
an actual blue marking in the eye the colour will be
clear. If it is scar tissue from an ulcer or other
eye injury the blue will be somewhat cloudy and may
cause a dark spot in the animals vision. I have had
several cobs with blue or part blue eyes. Sometimes
it is a washover from a very large blaze and some just
appear. Cropout markings in the Welsh breed is not an
unusual thing - and any judge worth their salt will
not pay any attention to it. Good Luck Belinda

Just to follow up on the blue bit in the eyes apparantly that is one
of the true signs of a Welsh Cob.
Sabina heard it some where but not sure were. When she comes back
from her holiday in New Zealand the lucky gal, maybe she can tell you
more.

Hi all,

Due to some extremely crappy circumstances I have to part with my beautiful boy.  Some of you may have seen him around the shows as I have shown him quite a lot.  He is Alcheringa Tradition a 2yo gelding by Rivington Heritage expected to mature around 14.3hh.

Some of his credits to date are:

Champion Cob VIC foal show
Champion Cob NSW foal show
Champion D Colt at NSW all Welsh Show 2001
First Cob gelding 2yrs at NSW all Welsh Show 2002
Plus many wins and champions at various Ag shows

A lot of time has been put into this boy he is mouthed, longreined and is lunging well with saddle on, all he needs is backing in due time.  I bought him to be a performance horse and would love to see him go to a home maybe as a hunter or junior eventer though he would do well in any chosen field.  He is also entered Sydney Royal 2003, this is a sad but necessary sale, $3500 for this lovely well performed boy.  He can be viewed on website www.users.bigpond.com./kendapark  any further questions please feel free to email me at lynette@...

Hi everyone, got a question to ask forgive my ignorance. Are blue eyes
in cobs considered a fault, well actually her eyes are brown on the

of vision.I remember reading somewhere about blue eyes are in the

Hi Deb,

At this stage the Maitland program is possibly being amended as the wrong
welsh program was printed. There should be a cob gelding class as well as
champion gelding overall. Supreme gelding will win the medal this year. As
soon as I see the new program I will let you know.
Maitland was excellent last year and our local RPG are sponsoring it again
so it is well worth going to.

Melinda.

Hi Deb,

WE are taking Lily and Cadbury this year and Dee and Laurie are going with
their C's. We were all able to get stables this year which makes life
easier. Cad didn't have enough performance for Buckskin ring but we'll try
for next year all going well.

Are you going to the RAS? Have you still got Penwyn?

Bye for now,

Hello everyone ,especially Jean in Cambridge Tas.I am about to own my
first welsh cob,his name is Phantom. He is a real smoochy boy,a
buckskin yearling gelding out of Cathy`s stallion Burrowa Cannonball
Express [hi, Cathy].At the moment I am awaiting his arrival, which has
been delayed due to the bushfires.Lets hope for some rain and no wind
and maybe the fires will get put out and stop the devastation to
whatever or who ever is in its path[I hope you are safe,Jean].I have
really enjoyed looking through the messages and I am looking forward
to expanding my knowledge of
cobs. Bridget

Dear Genaya

Do you still have your cob mare maggie for sale? As I'm looking for one to
ride now. If she is still available, can you email me some more details, or
send photos etc.

Thanks very much

Dear John

Neither Tara or I have ever received any info from you regarding Cob members in Qld, but we would be very interested to do so.  The cob info group we are hoping to start will be completely informal and will only be used as a meeting group to share ideas, info and help.  If you would like to become involved please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Tara.

We felt their could be a need to start this group as my experiences are similar to Taras's in that very few people from the QLD WPCS ever went out of their way to introduce themselves or offer us as new members a hand.

The All Welsh is March 16th at Ipswich show grounds. You indicated that you were available to steward.Let me know if this is not now possible.
Regarding the formation of a cob information group consider placing it under the umbrella of the QLD promotional group and the Society so that you are covered by insurance. As I think I have said previously at least five members of the Qld RPG committee have an interest in cobs.

What date is the all Welsh again?

I have only one date in March I am busy for - the Andalusians are coming to the Entertainment Centre, went all out and bought Gold Class tickets for myself and our son!!!.

Otherwise, please supply the address, and time, and I shall be there (with pictures of my boy!!!).

Hi Everyone

We are still wanting to meet everybody interested in forming a cob
information group.  At this stage Tara and I will be going to the All
Welsh in March so we are wondering who is still keen and who will be
attending the All Welsh so we can try and maybe have lunch together
and have a goss!

Email and let us know if you are going so we can keep an eye for you.

Thanks and look forward to meeting you
Tara and Joelene

Dear John,

I am available to Steward.  I have not heard from the lady you indicated would contact us, so was wondering what was happening.

How long would I be Stewarding for?.  I  have not done this before.  Being the first time, if a whole day is expected, I think it would be wise to say perhaps 1/2 day this time, perhaps in the morning.

What it the Qld RPG? (please excuse my ignorance!!!).

Kim
