Hi Julie

What time are you getting to the pony dressage or are you getting
there the day before? I am helping out so will be there from 7am I
will try to find you before that if you will be there or I will wear
my welsh cob hat so you can spot me. What time were all the other
cob groupies getting there? I think a few others are helping out also.

Dear Maureen & WP & CS members

On behalf of the Office Staff of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society of Australia
Inc.I would like to respond to the comments made on this site.

We regret the mistake made on the dates of lease in regards to the service of
the pony in question.
As everyone is aware, with all registration and membership renewals now due,
this time of year is the busiest for the office and mistakes can be made.

In most instances these can be rectified with a simple phone call to the Office

The Office Staff are dedicated to their job and are happy to assist at any time.

We apologise for any inconvenience this incident may have caused and would like
to inform everyone the problem has been resolved.

Your Sincerely

hi guys

You know what else works..Dawn diswashing liquid.. It is the best and
does not hurt the skin. I used it weekly on Reg's mane and tail and
it lifts all the grease, dirt and stains. They use it when cleaning
penguins and birds and other animals in oils spills. Get the blue one
tho and use a tiny bit as it is very sudsy. I usaually put it on
lather it up rinse it out lightly then from the residue that is still
in there suds up again then rinse. Cheap to!

Also great to wash the horse rugs in and the car and float - gets the
road grim, brake dust and bugs off...I could do a commercial I reckon
**grin**

Hope this helps. Luckily for me no more white manes and tails to wash
(Miss the cob but don't miss the washing)I now have 4 socks 2
stockings and huge blaze on 2 horses that don't like walking in the
mud or getting their feet wet - YAY!

Hi Paula

Excuse my ignorance.. just wondering what jousting is.. I think from
the jist of the movies I have seen the riders bolt at each other
carrying a big pole and try to stab/knock each other of their horses -
is this right or 'just for the movies' if so is 'modern day'
jousting the same?? wow you are right strange weekend
activity**GRIN**! Do you have to wear what they wore in the movies?

I think the 'stop' thing is a baby thing at this stage and yep cobs
are great at it any excuse for a lay down and rest. Reckon I would
rather have one that stops tho than does the opposite when
unsure...he will be right give him time. How old is he? Can you put
a pic of you guys all medievaled up on this site? love to see it.
Weren't cobs used in medieval times as knights horses - may be right
up his ally :)

   Hi Julie,
I think Belinda does a great job with the Cob hand book too but just to set
the record straight Pat Scroop/Smith /Weinert(she has changed her name a few
times!) of Hazelmere Park in SA actually started it in 1992, so the hand book is
now 12 years old.
We have also had our first foal of the season, a very nice chestnut Section B

We have also had our first foal of the season, a very nice chestnut Section B

Hi Julie,
I think Belinda does a great job with the Cob hand book too but just to set the
record straight Pat Scroop/Smith /Weinert(she has changed her name a few times!)
of Hazelmere Park in SA actually started it in 1992, so the hand book is now 12
years old.
We have also had our first foal of the season, a very nice chestnut Section B

Don't you just love the WP&CS! Got a letter today saying they are unble to
process registration for my colt as the mare was previously leased out,
suggesting I may have to get a service certificate signed by the person who
leased the mare if the service dates fall within the lease dates.
Not sure how long they think the gestation period of a horse is, but the
leased finished 17 months before the ****dy foal was born!!!!!
No wonder the mare looked so relieved when the foal was born. :) :) :) I
should contact the Guiness Book of Records.
