of fun with him..
keep us informed of your achievements and I hope you work out how to
post pics as I have tried a couple of times but I only get to the
download part then it just stops doing anything ???? lol...so if
anyone can help both of us please share..

Hi all, I'm Raina, mother of 14 yo Sarah Burke who now has Grenwood
Express. Yes, he has travelled back across Australia to live in
Canberra (not bad for a horse - started 1 hr out of Canberra, then
went to 1 hr from Perth and now back to Canberra - well travelled!).

You will see lots of us now. Express will be doing it all. Pony
Club, Jumping, Eventing, Dressage....etc.

And what a stunning boy he is. Thanks Eva. We're having heaps of
fun.

Now for help. How do I put photos on the folders. It keep crashing
after I identify the pathway on browse????

See you all (well some of you) this weekend.

Raina.

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for that, they are the first photos I have seen. Jack was a
really big woos, he hated the shotgun and it took us a while to get
him to stand close enough to Brendan. Great photos Sharon.

Hi All

A couple of photos that I took at Norm & Julies on the weekend -
Martin & Jack respresented TATURA SES at Police & Emergency Services
Games taking Bronze and Silver Medals in Martin's first ever
dressage competition - not bad for a beginner rider & 4 weeks
intensive training with Norm, & once again showing off the
magnificent temperatment and versatility of the cobs. Jack really
is a one in a million horse, he really looks after his riders, no
matter what their level, and he passes all his wonderful qualities
onto his foals, several of which will be on display at the VIC
NATIONAL & FEATURE SHOW. Brendan won a medal also in the shooting
competition representing SES TATURA.

PS: the photos appear at the end of the folders because I forgot to
put them in the correct photo file - sorry!

Hi Sue,

I was just wondering if Dainty has had a little one yet? We have been busting to
know,
especially as the only reason we let her go in the first place was so she could
have
babies.
Her and Scruffy will make the most adorable children!

Hi All,

Just thought I'd let you know that Jack carried his beginner rider
to a silver and bronze medal at the Police and Firemans Games
Dressage Competition in Melbourne today.. He scored 73.3% in one
test and 66% in the other. Go the SES Tatura and go the cobs and
congratulations to his rider Martin Brownlee. Jack was beaten in
the first test by a mounted Policewoman and in the 2nd by 2 mounted
policewomen. There were 20 riders in both tests.
His photo will be in the Shep news next week.

Martin has never ridden in a dressage test before and has been
having lessons for only 3 weeks and previous to this had only ever
done a bit of trail riding.

Regards, Julie T

Hi all, Just another brag, what is happeing in the cob World???

Well, Holly the ugly cob filly, went to PC today with a scared
damaged rider on her and for the first time ever jumping, jumped
grade 5,4,3,2 in that order. She escaped from the float at lunch
time time and to get away from her would be captors, jumped a 3ft
tie up rail and did the cob head toss thing after she did it.
HAHAHA!!!!, smart arse cobs.

Hi there
This is not quite true, in fact approximately 90% of palomino foals are born
with blue eyes which turn brown within the first 12 months and pink skin
which darkens within a few days. Same for Buckskin eyes which can be born
blue and turn brown. I have had several pali foals born with pink skin and
blue eyes that are now dark both in skin and eyes and have a bucky colt here
at the moment that was born with blue eyes that are now brown at 8 weeks.
Cheers
Lisa

Hi Dianne,

Several of my foals have been born with blue eyes and all of them have
changed to brown eventually - the longest one taking 13 months!! Most of
them have started changing gradually after about 3 months.

What more can we say about this brilliant pony, there aren't anymore
superlatives that we can use that havent' been used before. I so
look forward to Bella & Jack's baby next season in 2006, if it is
half as good as him I'll be well pleased, but knowing Jack it will
be the best.

Martin, you really are an inspiration, no more excuses for me
anymore, a hearty congratulations to you & your efforts in gaining
Silver and Bronze, a well deserved reward.

To Norm, what can I say, you achieve miracles buddy, maybe you
really can make a silk purse from a sows ear.

Well here's to brilliant weekend at Tatura next weekend, good luck
to all.

Hi All,

Thanks everybody. the reason he was lent Jack in the first place
was because when he asked his wife (Norms HRCAV student) if he could
borrow her Advanced Dressage horse to ride at the games, she
said 'No'. So he phoned Norm and Norm offered him Jack
along with some intense lessons. We now have 12 months to teach
Martin to jump so he can compete in the Combined Training next year.

regards, Julie
