Hi Kim,

Slowly! It has been a real struggle for me, getting back into riding
with such a big horse who behaves like most young horses and is full of
the joy of life :-). I had actually given up and decided to lease him
out, but came to my senses, went right back to square one, and we're
coming along ok. He has never done anything - I'm the problem, worrying
about what he MIGHT do LOL! I'm off to Lancefield aggi with him this
weekend (in hand) then down to my old instructors place to have our
first lesson on Sat afternoon, then another on Sunday morning. I'm
nervous, but looking forward to it :-).

Hi Leonie,

Thanks, I think he's lovely too! No, he hasn't been out yet - just
sitting in the paddock growing up :-). I hope to do a bit of both with
him - he'll hopefully be a ride and drive pony.

His breeding is Acheron Splash of Magic out of Acheron The Dollmaker
(hope I've got that right - I don't have his papers in front of me).
Deb or Noel will correct me if I'm wrong :-).

I'm really hoping that he dosn't get too much bigger, but his hind
quarters are still up higher than his wither so it seems like he still
has a bit to go. He seems nice and small compaired to my Andalusian
gelding who is a tall 16.2hh. I can't get on him at all unless I have
a gate or bucket LOL!

He has been on numerous road & bush rides and is happy to plod and

probs, seems to adjust to rider. Rides in a halter bareback. Good
with cattle, dogs etc
Mature approx 15.2hh. Liver chestnut with ticking & small belly
splash underneath (not visible unless you look under)+ 4 socks.
Currently in show prep. Entered NSW AW & NSW Youngstock (December)

I assume you are trying Heather at her home number 98451199? She also
spends quite a lot of time in Perth. If you haven't tried her there,
her number is 92283810.
good luck

Hello

He is gorgeous! black, solid and perfect markings too...he should show
well! Has he been out yet / what are you going to do with him saddle or
harness? His name suits him!! What is his breeding?

I have a 3 yo gelding that is 15.1 at the moment but not quite as solid
as your boy .. it's a great riding height but getting on is a bugger. I
put him next to things or in ditches so I can clamber on - just as well
he is quiet lol

Carol, Section A stallion Parattah Chelsea Pip at Copperkahn stud,
Heather Crago near Albany has Sketty park Venezuela but I don't know
if he is a public stud, Wendamar stud in Williams has Wendamar
Elliot, Judaroo stud has Imperial Hazard, Jill Wood Ainslie(Ainsley
Wood?)has Selection, Delys Watts in Collie still has one I think,
there are several that I can't think of at the moment but I'm sure any
of these studs would give you more information.

   Hello Everyone

I know that a few you guys know that I am moving to Victoria, well I
have been talking about it for some time, well I have handed notice on
my flat, have emailed a 101 removalist companies, halfway packed so it
is finally happening A date has been set.

Straight after the NSW All Welsh I am moving to Shepparton way. I have
entered my Sect D Gelding in at the NSW All Welsh and I have decided
to enter him in at the Victorian as well. I have never been to the Vic
All Welsh, but have attended pretty much every NSW AW for the last 10
or more years. I have attended (as a spectator)most of the big shows
around Sydney in those years and so look forward to seeing some shows
around victoria and meeting everyone. I did meet a few people at the
   Cob Weekend as well.

Anyways I finish up my work contract on the 31 October and I drive
down on the Tuesday to my friend in Numurkah. On Thursday I will then
travel to Melbourne for Equitana which I attended also in 2003. I am
looking forward to my move, it is all pretty exciting :-) and a bit
scarey. I have lived in Sydney all my life pretty much and I do have
friends that way, horsey, Cobbie and otherwise, as well I have visited
the area over the last 20 years almost every year to visit friends
   except the last couple.

This last month has been very busy for me, packing and making closure.
Also preparing my boy for the NSW All Welsh. I am riding after work
everynight in the dark, though I actually like it no distractions or
sun bothering us, I think he likes it better at night as well.

So it is all finally happening :-)

Welsh Cob Discussion List Rules
May 26, 2005

PURPOSE

We are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Welsh Cob in
Australia.
We welcome the discussion about all things to do with Welsh Cobs.

ATMOSPHERE

There is a strong code of proper etiquette on the Welsh Cob List,
and it is every contributing subscriber's responsibility to uphold
that code of etiquette and set a good example for others on this list.
Treat others how you would like to be treated.
It is very important that each subscriber does his/her part to contribute to a
healthy,
helpful atmosphere. We are here to share information and thoughts, discuss in a
friendly manner
and to help each other. Please be supportive of others,
especially those whom you disagree with.

ONE-LINERS

(One-liners are comments that consist of a few words to only a sentence in reply
to
someone else's post). Please resist the temptation to send one-liner posts that
add nothing to the conversation, such as "Me, Too" or "Thank you" only.
IF you have something more to add, such as elaborate on why you agree or how
someone's
post has helped you, then please feel free to do so. If you just want to thank
somebody
or let them know you agree with them, please email them privately. IF, however,
you have
something substantial to say and can do so in only a few words, this is not
considered a
"one-liner" and you are welcome to send such posts.

FLAME WARS/INFLAMMATORY POSTS

All messages must be mindful, kind, and peaceful, they may not be cruel or
inflammatory to anyone in any way.
Personal attacks and misleading gossip are NOT acceptable, and we expect them
not to happen, under ANY circumstances.
Consider carefully what you post about others, whether they are members of this
list or not, you will be personally LIABLE for any damage caused by your post.
If you can not discuss in an open and friendly manner, you do not belong on
these lists.
Name calling and derogatory comments are completely uncalled for and unwelcome.
It is natural in any discussion for people to disagree, otherwise it wouldn't be
a discussion... however, please disagree politely.
As long as you are courteous and don't intentionally offend or insult others on
the lists, you are a welcome addition. Nastiness, in any form, will not be
tolerated.

MISUNDERSTANDINGS

Misunderstandings are normal. No matter how well you think you explain yourself,
what you say may be misinterpreted.
If this happens, CALMLY clarify what you have meant, rather than take offense.
Give people the benefit of the doubt, and treat them with respect, even (or
ESPECIALLY)
in case of disagreement. Treat others how you would like to be treated.

OFF-TOPIC DISCUSSION

Off-topic discussion is not allowed.

SAFE FOR CHILDREN

These lists are safe for children. Please do not post content that would be
unacceptable to those under 18.

TRIM

When replying to another's post, please delete all that is not vital to maintain
the
coherence of the thread. Yahoogroups tends to add considerable advertising,
links, etc.
to the bottom of every post... delete these before hitting send on your reply.
Take special note if you are a DIGEST subscriber... please remove all material
that
isn't on the topic you are posting to.
Posting privileges may be revoked if replies to the lists are not trimmed.

SUBJECT LINE

When a subject changes, as they tend to do, please change the subject line to
reflect this.
Also please make sure not to leave the subject line blank.

SIGN/SIGNATURES

Sign your posts, preferably with your name and email address.
You are welcome to include your webpage URL(s) in your .sig file. Keep in mind,
though, signature files are fine but overly long ones are bothersome.

ADVERTISING

Advertising (items/horses for sale, services, events) are only welcome if they
are directly
concerning Welsh Cobs.

COPYRIGHT

Copyright is retained by the writer of a message. Public posting does not give
one
permission to publish a message in a magazine, repost it somewhere else, etc.
If you love what someone's written, contact them privately and discuss further
publication with them. If it comes to the List Administrators' attention that
posts
have been forwarded from one of our lists to another list WITHOUT the author's
permission,
it will result in immediate unsubscription and ban from the lists from the
offending party.

IF RESPONDING PRIVATELY, CHECK YOUR SEND-TO BOX

It can be AWFULLY embarrassing to mail something to the whole list that was
intended for
an individual (not to mention highly annoying for the rest of the list
subscribers).
Always check and double-check that the send-to box reads the addressee of the
person that
you intend to receive it.

HIGH VOLUME

We have many subscribers and, at times, this list can have a high volume of
email
discussion. Additionally, if anyone is concerned with the volume of email they
are
receiving with these lists, I recommend they change their status to DIGEST form.
You can do
this by sending a blank email to welshcobs-digest@...
To reverse this procedure, simply send a blank email to
welshcobs-normal@... .

UNSUBSCRIBING

To unsubscribe, send a blank email to welshcobs-unsubscribe@...

ATTACHMENTS / ARCHIVES

Due to the virus risk, attachments are stripped of all posts.
If you want to share your photos, you can do so at the Welsh Cob YahooGroups
website...
http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/welshcobs - sign in and post your photos in
either
the files section or photos section.
Message archives are also available.

CONDITIONS
You, and not the group owner, are entirely responsible for all Content that you
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit via the Service. The group owner does
not control all the Content posted via the Service and, as such, does not
guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such Content. You understand
that by using the Service, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive,

in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, for any errors or
omissions in any Content, or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a
result of the use of any Content posted, emailed or otherwise transmitted via
the Service.

INDEMNITY AND RELEASE

You agree to indemnify and hold the list owners, administrators or their
partners harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys'
fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of Content you submit, post
to or transmit through the Service, your use of the Service, your connection to
the Service, your violation of these rules, or your violation of any rights of
another.

ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION

Repeat violators will be removed from the List.
These are the list rules, they are not up for debate or discussion.
By posting on this list you agree to these rules and conditions
