This group was set up to show public support and interest in saving Colin, a baby Humpback whale in distress.
We will keep you updated on Colin's progress.
Members of the public can register their interest in the financial support of Colin and future baby whales by joining this group or sending an email to whalesupport@timeandmotion.com.au
This is a registration of support only. Please do not send money. The information will be compiled and sent to government and animal sanctuaries to show public support to address a number of challenges. Joining shows a level of public interest in helping to fix this situation.
1. To save Colin
2. To encourage formation of a public charity to fund a cetacean nursery for other whales that become separated from their pod with no hope of survival with the exception of human intervention. These facilities exist in the USA, there's no reason why we can't establish similar facilities in the Southern Hemisphere if we have the will.
3. To research the ecology and lifecycle of whales with a view to assisting them in distress situations, such as Colin's predicament.
4. To share news with regards to Colin.
5. To stimulate worldwide academic and public interest and exchange of information about whales.
6. To show that we can make a difference and we can do something to help Colin or future baby whales.
Even if we can't help Colin, we can prepare for the next time it happens.
Thankyou to everyone showing support for this cause.
